If I have been in Sweden with a student visa for the fall and went home to visit may i return as a tourist?
I am waiting for my visa to be renewed, but since I have dropped out of my school for the year, I wanted to travel in Europe as a tourist even if my visa is not renewed, including countries such as the nordic group, france, germany and italy.

How much time does it take for a student visa for Sweden from India?
Hi, I have been given admission in uppsala university@2009. But i have received a visa date on the 17th of July. Will i have sufficient time for it's processing? My classes start on 26th Aug 2009

You should ask the embassy this question. It is depandant on each person's case and if they need a lot of background checks. If you have had visa's granted before then this will make it quicker.

Hi I'm an indian, currently having student visa in the Uk. I'm planning to go to sweden to meet my friends. Is is mandatory that i have to get a swedish visa or my uk student visa is good for it? Thanks

You will need a visa from the Swedish Embassy to visit. Happy travel!

Your U.K. visa does not suffice since the United Kingdom is not part to the Schengen border-less travel agreement.
