is it necessary for a student to have transit visa for passing uk for getting sweden?
I am prabaharan from india.i have to travel sweden for doing my higher education,i like to travel in british airways.i m going in student visa,did i need a transit visa for passing london.......

Should you hve been awarded a long stay type D visa for Sweden you will not need a Direct Airside Transit Visa for the United Kingdom. Sweden is a country of the European Economic Area (EEA). Holders of long stay visa of a EEA country can travel via the United Kingdom without the need of a Direct Airside Transit Visa. http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/doineedvisa/visadatvnationals ..
