About 11th grade or 12th, that way, you know that you will be okay in school, but you can also go on and learn more from other places. It may be hard for you while you are still first starting high school to go because your mind is so cluttered. Wait till you are ready and can handle all of these things at once.

my bro went with AFS to New zealand and loved it. He went his Second Semester or his junior year. I might do the same. But talk to your counselor so you can get all your required classes in so you dont have a bad senior year, thats what Im doing. HAVE FUN.
