Which European country is the best for a high school student exchange?
Which European country is the best for a high school student exchange?
I'm planning on doing an exchange to Sweden next year from August to January but I'm wondering if that is the best country to exchange to or is there others that should be considered first? I really like how Sweden looks and sounds but there are so many other countries in Europe that are good too...

Vienna (Austria) has been voted the best city in the world with the highest quality of living. That sounds like a good start. I would pick the UK or Switzerland.

It depends on which languages you can speak. There is no use going to Sweden if you've never learned Swedish and don't have time to do so. The UK is great if you aren't very good at languages. (same - well nearly the same - languages) If you can speak German, or have time to learn it, I would certainly recommend Germany. I went on an exchange with school and it was pretty cool. The German school is very interesting, and there is so much to do. I could really emerse myself in the language and culture there. German people tend to be willing to take on exchange students since they see it as an oppurtunity to improve their English (everyone in Germany has to learn English). This is great if you get stuck or fed up of German, you can still communicate! If you want nice weather, maybe Spain or Italy. France is also good.
